The Water Authority works with its member agencies to plan for the future to support the water demands of the San Diego region by identifying necessary facilities and supplies to meet those demands.
Identifying and building these facilities is key to fulfilling the Water Authority mission of providing a safe and reliable water supply to the region. These facilities and projects may either appear in the 2003 Regional Water Facilities Master Plan or the 2013 Regional Water Facilities Optimization and Master Plan Update. As such, they are either undergoing feasibility assessments or may soon be designed.
